Job Description: Cricket Coach 3 x Cricket Coaches at Ashburton Cricket Club

We require a committed and confident self-employed lead coach and two assistants to attend our training sessions to further develop our junior training programme.

These are paid positions, details on request, and you are assured of a warm welcome at the club.

Specific coaching requirements:

  1. Plan and lead our weekly coaching outdoor training sessions to be undertaken in the period commencing the first week in May.

  2. Oversee & conduct a risk assessment at all sessions.

  3. Knowledge and understanding of ECB Child Welfare procedures in relation to coaching responsibilities.

  4. Conduct sessions in accordance with the appropriate ECB guidelines and good practice.

  5. Encourage the players to act in a sportsmanlike manner at all times and ensure that the spirit of the game be promoted at all times.

  6. Share good practice with all club coaches and volunteer helpers.

  7. Work with the club committee to generate ideas, execute plans and collaborate so shared goals are achieved.

Person Specification –required coaching qualifications and experience:

  1. Level 1 / 2 or above-qualified coach

  2. Experience working with children from 7 to 15 years of age.

  3. Up to date DBS, First Aid and Safeguarding Young Cricketers certification.

  4. Committed every week to the schedule detailed above.

  5. Excellent communication, organisational skills and punctuality.

Terms and Conditions.

  1. Payment shall be made upon receipt of an invoice.

  2. Any pre-booked holidays/appointments that may result in a non-attendance shall be mutually agreed upon with the Cricket Committee in advance.
