Ashburton first team started their league campaign by welcoming Stoke Gabriel. With rain forecast the visitors won the toss and the hosts were asked to have a bat. Lloyd White and Jake Pascoe opened up and added 27 before White was dismissed for 9 after hitting a short ball straight to cover. Skipper Ash Berry joined Pascoe and took the score to 82 before Pascoe was adjudged LBW for an excellent 43. Shortly after the rain arrived and after a lengthy wait the game was abandoned with Ashes 88 for 2 from 22 overs, Berry (25no) and Dan Coles (1no) the unbeaten batsman.

Ashburton second team travelled to play Teignmouth and Shaldon second team. Ashburton won the toss and asked the hosts to bat. An imposing total of 347 for 6 was posted in the 40 overs thanks mainly to 130 off of just 53 balls from Mark Jameson. Robin Lambert (2 for 64), Toby Pascoe (2 for 85), Ashton West (1 for 51) and Luke Pascoe (1 for 53) were the wicket takers.
Ashburton's reply was based around a fantastic knock of 74 from Marcus West. Martin Causey (13), Sam Higgs (14) and Jerry Crouch (24) all chipped in as Ashes reached a final total of 199 all out in 34 overs.
