Ashburton Cricket Club celebrated their annual end of season awards night, held at the Dartmoor Lodge last Saturday (22nd September).
After a stunning carvery and dessert, Chairman Jerry Crouch welcomed the 60+ members who had turned out for a superb evening, before passing over to the Club and 2nd XI Captain to present the awards.
Skipper Berry reflected on the season that had passed before presenting the awards, whilst Lloyd White presented Berry with two awards of his own - The Batsman of the year and 'Players Player'.
Chris Yeo presented the 2nd XI awards for the final time and thanked the many senior stalwarts of the club who have assisted him so much in his 5 years as the twos skipper.
Dan Coles then presented a new cup for 2018, the Duck Cup - which went to Robin Lambert and also provided the cash prizes for the fantasy cricket - a league that has been so well supported by the clubs membership.
Finally, Jerry Crouch presented his Chairmans Clubman of the Year to Club Secretary Lloyd White for his work both on and off the pitch.
The club would also like to express their thanks to the Dartmoor Lodge for their hospitality.
