More than 40 businesses are now signed up to sponsor us for our 2017 season, totalling more than £2,500 for our club. Combined with a successful Ashburton Town Lottery grant application for £250, and £1,000 of Devon County Council funding through local councillor Stuart Barker we have nearly £4,000 to tackle a number of important projects. The first (already completed) has been to improve our toilets (particularly important as we have a lot more girls playing at the club now) and improve access to our pavilion loft so we keep more equipment safe and dry over the winter. We are also making some major improvements in our bar area so we can hold more internal fundraisers.
